What is this club?

Simply put, our "monthly meal club" is just a monthly SMS - a way to keep in touch with us. We let you know what our monthly meal delivery menu highlights are, and the day we're delivering to your area. You can then choose whether to respond or not. It's a real person (Mel), not a bot, on the other side, so feel free to chat! And yes, you can still call me directly if you prefer (to speak to a real person) - on the same number - 0429408914 (normal office hours).

How does it work?

Once you sign up, we'll send you an SMS each month as a courtesy reminder. It'll include your delivery day & a link to this page, which will be updated monthly with our seasonal menu of frozen meal, curry packs & a few other menu items that you may miss from our Solace Cafe, but can still enjoy at home.

When do you deliver? Can I choose another date?

Typically we deliver on a Friday (or sometimes Thursday). If you have a preference, or want your order on another day (earlier or later), we'll try our best to accommodate. However, a $9-15 delivery fee will apply for special trips out, depending on the distance.

What if I'm not home when you deliver?

Please leave an esky at the front door available for us to leave your order. We'll leave your order there at the front door, unless you give us a specific location/instruction otherwise.

Can I pick up my order from you instead?

Yes, if you'd prefer to pick up your order from us in Ingleside (33 Walter Rd), a time can be arranged. Just SMS us with your requested pick-up day/time. If we're not available to answer the door, your order will be placed in an esky at our front door.

What if a monthly SMS gets annoying?

You can opt out at anytime, by replying for eg. "unsubscribe pls" (a reason is always helpful/appreciated, but not required). 

Alternatively, you can request a monthly email instead/in addition to an SMS by replying for eg. "Pls email also/instead to .... [your email addtress]."

How do I order & pay?

Once you've replied with your order, we'll confirm by replying with the total owing. We prefer cash on delivery OR an EFT (bank transfer) into our account. Details are:

Do you accept credit cards?

We can accept payment over the phone. However, a 1.9% processing fee applies.

Why can't I order online?

We can't currently accept order payments on our website. However, we'll be migrating our website to a platform that can accept orders soon. So stay tuned!

Malaysian Laksa Broth $ 20/L

Malaysia's national dish! The secret to an epic laksa is the broth. And ours is one of the best. All you need to do is add your own favourite noodle, protein, veg/tofu, and you're set. This will feed about 3 ppl, or 4-5 as a starter/side.

Malay Lamb Curry  $ 43/L; $22/500ml (very limited stock until Feb)
Owner Mel's Malaysian father's favourite dish, with tender chunks of lamb cooked with mixed spices, eggplant & potato (medium hot), in a coconut broth. Simply reheat & eat!

Butter Chicken   $ 39/L; $20/500ml
Smooth & satisfying Butter Chicken curry w potato & kumera (mild, contains dairy). An absolute favourite with local families!

Beef Rendang  $ 41/L, $21/500ml
Arguably Malaysia's (some say Indonesia's) national dish, our Beef Rendang is a richly-spiced, delicious & complex beef curry w potato (medium hot). 

Chickpea, Lentil & Sweet Potato w Zucchini Curry (Vegan)   $ 37/L, $19/500ml
Nourishing chickpea, lentil, kumera & seasonal veg curry (mild, Vegan). Owner Mel was determined to come up w a curry that would satisfy omnivores, vegetarians and vegans alike. She knew it was good when she couldn't help but eat it 3 meals in a row! Handy to have one of these in stock at all times in case a Vego/Vegan drops in for a meal. :)

Steamed Jasmine Rice $ 8/L

Fragrant steamed Jasmine rice is the perfect accompaniment to our curries. Remove lid, add a splash of water, partially replace lid, then microwave on medium-high for 3-5 min until hot.
